There are some discrepancies concerning the response time of this monitor, their main product page relates it at 8ms, yet their Product Specification Sheet lists it as 16ms. 16ms is too slow for games, although its scanning frequencies are not bad, with the ability to perform over 85kHz.
However, if you do not require excessive speed the Phillips 200W6CB includes some good extras like 2W speakers with a headphone jack, a USB port and many front panel and OSD controls. It also has a wide viewing angle of 176°, is a wide screen with an aspect ration of 16:10 and is reasonably priced for a monitor of this size.
Their customer service is responsive; we used their chat option and received immediate, relevant assistance. The user manual that comes with this model is more comprehensive than most that we have seen.
This monitor would have placed much higher if the response time was indeed 8ms and the contrast ratio was 1000:1 or higher.
