ViewSonic has recently been getting the attention of gamers, but this particular model only has a contrast ratio of 500:1, which may be adequate for general use, but not for games. While the response time is a respectable 8ms, the dot pitch is a broad 0.292mm and images will not appear as crisp as they would on a monitor with a 0.255mm dot pitch.
For a better ViewSonic choice, see the VP2130b 21.3” LCD, which has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and retails for less than $800.
